Myanmar

From 2017-2018, the Government of Myanmar allocated USD$1.2 million for the purchase of contraceptives in addition to expanding the logistics management information system, increasing access to long-acting reversible contraceptives, and expanding youth-centered family planning information, education, and communication.

The country continues to work toward alleviating geographic, social, and gender-related barriers to the provision of contraception through the finalization of the Essential Package of Health Services (EPHS) with the inclusion of a full spectrum of contraceptive methods under the implementation of the National Health Plan (2017-2021) which aims towards universal health coverage for Myanmar.
