The meeting report, “Systematic Review of Financing Mechanisms for Family Planning and Contraception,” highlights insights from a December 2015 meeting co-organized by the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University, and the World Health Organization. The meeting was attended by experts, researchers and key funding partners in the field of financing in family planning.
During the meeting the participants reviewed the key findings from the five systematic reviews on voucher schemes, conditional cash transfers, community-based financing, pay for performance out-of-pocket payments and user fees. The report also includes research gaps, a prioritization of research questions, and recommendations to advance quality research on financing in family planning.
