As part of their commitment to FP2030, the Democratic Republic of Congo has set a goal of reaching a contraceptive prevalence rate (CPR) of 19% by 2020.
To achieve this goal, the DRC government has developed a national family planning strategy and action plan, which focuses on improving access to and quality of family planning services, increasing awareness and demand for family planning, and strengthening the health system. The government has also established a dedicated family planning budget line within the national health budget and has trained health workers to provide a range of contraceptive methods.
